LCMS & LDTM

Laser Crack Measurement System (LCMS)

AID’s Integrated Testing Vehicle (ITV), in addition to IRI, GPR, GPS, and high definition cameras, is capable of detecting continuous rutting, cross slope, and pavement distresses (cracks, spalling, edge dropoff, etc.) at 65 MPH and export accurate, repeatable information via a Laser Crack Measurement System (LCMS).

Equipment Specifications:

Paired with the Laser Digital Terrain Mapping Software (LDTM), AID’s Laser unit mounted on the ITV can be used to conduct geometric surveys of road surfaces allowing for 3-D mapping of the road profile. 2-D image and 3-D data are simultaneously acquired at a rate of up to 45 million points per second and are seamlessly merged together into a high accuracy digital terrain map
