In addition, AID runs its own soils, asphalt, and concrete materials testing laboratory. Job Description
This is a full-time position with great benefits for a qualified, highly-experienced Technical Lead/Project Manager in our “Pavement Engineering” practice area. This senior-level position is intended for someone who requires very little training, can “hit the ground running”, and be able to manage multiple, concurrent projects and supervise engineers and technicians. Due to its roles and responsibilities, including mentoring and supervising staff, this position is ideally suited for in-person work. Overview of Responsibilities: With regard to the Pavement Engineering practice area, the primary responsibilities of this position will be to provide technical oversight, optimize processes, manage projects, prepare technical and cost proposals, and supervise staff as well as grow the practice area through marketing and business development. Project work will typically involve high-level project management, analyzing data, developing pavement design recommendations, preparing technically and grammatically sound project reports, and performing QA of the same. Project types may include pavement testing, evaluation, design, and/or management.
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of similar experience in the pavement engineering consulting industry
- B.S.C.E. degree or higher with coursework in pavement engineering
- P.E. license
- Thorough and highly practical knowledge of pavement engineering principles
- Highly competent with pavement evaluation and design, including GPR and FWD data analysis, pavement distress surveys, the 1993 AASHTO
- Pavement Design Guide, the AASHTO Mechanistic-Empirical
- Pavement Design Guide, and PavementME.
- Proficiency in technical writing and verbal communication
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
- Experience with pavement management and related software is a plus
- Familiarity and working knowledge with AID’s technologies, described above, are highly desirable
- Familiarity and working knowledge with Artificial Intelligence technologies are desirable
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $130K-$170K per year and will be competitive and commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications and levels of relevant experience and education. Higher compensation may be considered based on the candidate’s credentials and the value they bring to the firm. Historically, AID awards mid-year and end-of-year bonuses, which are based on the performance of the employee and the company. In addition to salary, this position includes a full benefits package.
